Salary
$45/hour

Overview:
The City of Lynn Department of Public Health seeks a Per-Diem Nurse to bolster its ongoing efforts to serve the health and wellness of the entire Lynn Community. The successful candidate will be a diligent, conscientious, experienced nursing professional who can communicate with the City’s diverse, multilingual population and proactively engage in our ongoing efforts to mitigate infectious illnesses. This position is grant-funded through June 30, 2026.

Under the direct supervision of the Public Health Director, the Per-Diem Nurse will have the following responsibilities:
• Assists Health Division RN Supervisor in the daily operations of the public health clinic, and coordination for all public health prevention and educational efforts.
• Assists in immunization program
• Participates in community health programs and performs on site nursing services when needed
• Keeps case histories and health records in general
• Participates in emergency response planning, programs, drills and trainings
• Assists with the planning and implementation of community health promotion events and activities

Qualifications:
• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Fluency in English and an additional language (ex: Spanish, Khmer, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Arabic) highly preferred.
• Experience with 60+ population advantageous.
