INVITATION FOR BID
AMES PLAYGROUND RENOVATIONS

The City of Lynn, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the Ames Playground Project in Lynn, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Copley Wolff dated June 1, 2026.

The Project consists of:
The City of Lynn – Ames Playground – located at 30 Strawberry Ave will include removal and demolition of existing play equipment, mulch safety surfacing, site furniture, and fencing. The sitework includes preparation for new accessible play equipment, poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing, paved walkway, and chain link fence upgrades. The work is estimated to cost $600,000.

Bids are subject to the stricter requirements of M.G.L. c.30 §39M and Federal Regulation 2 CFR 200 and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 §§26 to 27H inclusive and Federal Davis Bacon Act.

Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available for pick-up starting Monday, June 1, 2026 at www.biddocsonline.com (may be viewed electronically and hardcopy requested) or at Nashoba Blue, Inc. at 433 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (978-568-1167).

General Bids will be received until June 15, 2026 at 10:00 AM and publicly opened, forthwith online.

Invitation for Bids
GAR Museum Façade Restoration

The City of Lynn, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the façade restoration of Grand Army of the Republic Museum Building located at 58 Andrew Street in Lynn, MA, in accordance with the documents prepared by architects the Spencer Preservation Group. The project shall be substantially complete by November 30, 2026.

The scope of the work includes:
Masonry Restoration: Cleaning of existing masonry. Rebuilding of face brick, repairs to back-up masonry, repairs to existing brownstone units. Window Restoration and Painting of wood window frames, sills, brick mouldings, mullions. The work is estimated to cost $768,588.

Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by
M.G.L. c.149 §§26 to 27H inclusive.

General bidders must be DCAMM certified in the category “Historic Masonry”. All bids must include a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Update Statement. General Bidders shall have completed similar work on at least 3 buildings listed in the State or National Register of Historic Places within the past 5 years.

General Bids will be received until Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 2:00PM and publicly opened online, forthwith. All Bids should be submitted electronically online at www.biddocsonline.com and received no later than the date and time specified above.

General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates), and made payable to the CITY OF LYNN.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 58 Andrew Street, Lynn at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Attendance is not mandatory, but strongly encouraged.

The City of Lynn reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the City.

INVITATION FOR BID
SUPPLY OF DPW UNIFORMS AND RELATED ITEMS

The City of Lynn will receive bids for the Supply of Uniforms and Related Items for the Department of Public Works employees.

Awarded store vendor will be responsible for making all items listed in bid specifications available for purchase by the Department of Public Works employees. Items include but not limited to t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, boots, gloves and eye protection. Embroidery and silkscreen of DPW logo will be required on some items. Union employees are issued a credit card by vendor with a set value allowance and payment is made by the City of Lynn. Store must be located in Lynn or neighboring city or town as indicated in bid specifications. Approximately annual spending is $30,000. Contract effective July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2029.

Specifications may be obtained starting, Monday, May 18, 2026. Specifications are available by email upon request at [email protected] or by calling 781-586-6924. Specifications are available until the due date specified below.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: Bid# 03-676 Supply of Uniforms and Related Items. All bids must be submitted to the City of Lynn, Purchasing Department, Room 206, 3 City Hall Square, Lynn, MA 01901 before 12:00pm, Wednesday, June 3, 2026 and will be publicly opened, forthwith. Emailed bids will not be accepted.

The City of Lynn reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids or any part thereof and make award as may appear in the best interest of the City. The City of Lynn Purchasing Agent will prepare the notice of award and awarding of this contract.
