According to MGL Ch 200A, Sec 9A the city treasurer may presume that a check has been abandoned if not cashed or claimed within 1 year after the date of issue. The list below represents checks that are more than one year old and have been carried on the books as tailings (uncashed/stale dated checks).

If you believe that you have uncashed checks or abandoned property, please fill out the Claim Form (PDF). Your options for submitting the form are to return the form in person to the Treasurer/Collector's Office with a government issued photo ID or mail in the claim form with a copy of a government issued photo ID to the Treasurer/Collector's Office at the following address:
