Tenant Resources and Rights

The City of Lynn Housing Stability Ordinance was established to ensure that residential tenants, landlords, property managers and all parties involved in renting and leasing residential units are informed of their rights and responsibilities.

The purpose of this ordinance is to support housing stability by ensuring that tenants receive essential information about their rights and available resources both at the start of tenancy and when a tenancy is terminated. By increasing awareness and access to resources, the ordinance aims to promote housing stability in Lynn.

The ordinance was passed by the City Council in December 2024 and will take effect starting November 15, 2025.
