The Lynn Calm Team (LCT) is the City's alternative to the police response team serving all Lynn residents who may have concerns or needs in the following areas: acute mental/behavioral health, community issues, and quality of life challenges such as food insecurity and homelessness. The team is an alternative option if residents do not want to call the police for any number of reasons. The team will be launching this spring.
The City of Lynn is looking to launch the Lynn Calm Team Community Advisory Committee (LCTCAC), a committee that will help shape the program and advise the Mayor. The committee will meet monthly (or at a frequency to be determined by the group) either in person or via Zoom. Meetings will be facilitated by the Community Advisory Committee Chair once elected by the group. The LCTCAC members will be appointed by the Mayor. The members shall remain on the LCTCAC for the life of the pilot, which is approximately six months to a year.
