CITY OF LYNN
The City of Lynn is soliciting bids for the following:
LYNN CITY HALL HVAC INSTALLATION
3 CITY HALL SQUARE
LYNN, MASSACHUSETTS 01901

Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, installation of a new HVAC system and air conditioning units, including associated mechanical and electrical work. Other works include full or partial demolition of the existing suspended ceiling and installation of a new ceiling, asbestos abatement work, structural steel work, concrete work, and partial roofing work.

The work is estimated to cost $3,060,000.00.

Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 §§26 to 27H inclusive.

General Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and
Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work HVAC and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement.
Filed Sub-Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and
Maintenance (DCAMM) for the trades listed below and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Sub-bidder’s Update Statement.

Documents may also be viewed, but not removed, from the office of Projectdog Inc., 18 Graf Road - Unit 8, Newburyport, MA 01950, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Addenda, if issued, will be posted to the Projectdog website, and shall be accompanied by e-mail notification to every individual or firm on record as having received the Contract Documents.

Filed Sub-Bids for this project will be accepted from eligible bidders until 2:00PM, Friday, June 14, 2024 and will be publicly opened, forthwith online.

General Bids for this project will be accepted from eligible bidders until 2:00PM, Friday, June 28, 2024 and will be publicly opened, forthwith online.

Each general bid and filed sub-bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, or cash, or a certified check on, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the City of Lynn in the amount of five percent (5%) of value of the bid. Bid deposits will be dealt with as provided in Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 44B.

Bids shall be made on the basis of the Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, Pursuant to the Provisions of Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D inclusive of Massachusetts General Laws, a copy of which is attached to and is made a part of the Contract.
Bidders’ selection procedures and contract award shall be in conformity with applicable statues of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Performance and Labor and Materials payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price will be required from the successful bidder.

The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all general bids, if it be in the public interest to do so, and to reject any sub-bid on any sub-trade if it determines that such sub-bid does not represent the sub-bid of a person competent to perform the work as specified or that less than three such sub-bids were received and that the prices are not reasonable for acceptance without further competition.

INVITATION FOR BID
SCHOOL DEPARTMENT BUS TRANSPORTATION

The City of Lynn, acting through the School Department, will receive bids for the bus transportation of students, including sports and band transportation as outlined in bid specifications. The contract will be for a maximum of three (3) years taking into consideration pricing options
Specifications may be obtained starting, Monday, June 3, 2024 at the City of Lynn Purchasing Department, Room 205, 3 City Hall Square, Lynn, MA 01901. Specifications are available by email at [email protected] or will be mailed upon request by calling 781-586-6893. Specifications are available until the due date specified below.

Bids are subject to the Department of Labor Standards Prevailing Wage Rate under the provisions of M.G.L.c.149 §§ 26 - 27H.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: Bid# 03-571 School Department Bus Transportation. All bids must be submitted to the purchasing department at the address above no later than 11:00am on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 and will be publicly opened, forthwith. Emailed bids will not be accepted.

The City of Lynn reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids or any part thereof and make award as may appear in the best interest of the City.

The City of Lynn Purchasing Agent will prepare the notice of award and awarding of this contract.

Invitation for Bid
HVAC Maintenance Service

The City of Lynn invites sealed bids from licensed HVAC contractors to supply a HVAC maintenance service program for sixteen (16) specific buildings owned by the City in accordance with the documents prepared by the Inspectional Services Department. Work consists of HVAC service, repair and installation on a time and material basis. Contractor must supply all labor, parts, material, tools, and all other services required to complete work. Contract will be for a three (3) year term.

Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 §§26 to 27H inclusive.

Specifications will be available for pick up starting Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the City of Lynn, Purchasing Department Room 205, 3 City Hall Square, Lynn, MA 01901. Specifications will be mailed or emailed upon request at [email protected] or by calling 781-586-6893. Please reference IFB #03-573.

Bids must be sealed, marked accordingly as “BID #03-573 HVAC Maintenance Service” and submitted to the address above. No emailed copies will be accepted.

General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the total three (3) year bid amount. Bid deposit may be in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the City of Lynn.
