GANNON GOLF COURSE
PHASE 3 – COURSE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
The City of Lynn invites bids for PHASE 3 Gannon Golf Course Improvement Project at GANNON MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE, 60 Great Woods Road, Lynn, MA 01904
THE SCOPE OF WORK for which proposals are invited consists of furnishing all designated labor, equipment and materials for bunker renovations, tee expansion and improvement and the repair and addition of bituminous concrete cart paths at the golf course per attached Plans and Specifications.
PROJECT COST. The estimated construction cost is $700,000 including all alternates.
Bids will be received in the Office of the Purchasing Agent, City of Lynn, 3 City Hall Square – Room 206, Lynn, MA 01901 until Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Bids must be accompanied by bid deposit, must use the bid forms provided by the City of Lynn, be sealed and marked accordingly, and be signed by the bidder. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in Room 206, City Hall, Lynn, Massachusetts at this time.
QUALIFICATIONS. Bids will be accepted only from those qualified CONTRACTORS who demonstrate successful experience at similar golf course and golf path renovation projects. All Bids must include information regarding the Bidder's prior experience on similar projects.
SCHEDULE. Work shall commence on or about November 16, 2026 and be completed by May 21, 2027.
BID DOCUMENTS AVAILABLE. Specifications will be available for pick up starting Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Lynn City Hall, Purchasing Department, Room 206, 3 City Hall Square, Lynn, MA 01901. Specifications will be emailed upon request to the purchasing department at

FORM OF BID. Bids must be made using the Bid Forms provided in these documents, or on a copy machine reproduction thereof. Each bid submitted must be accompanied a bid deposit of five percent (5%) of the TOTAL BID PRICE INCLUDING ALTERNATES in the form of Certified Check, Cashier’s Check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Lynn. A PAYMENT BOND in the amount of FIFTY PERCENT (50%) of the Total Bid is required of the successful bidder. Retainage of five percent (5%) will be required on all invoices through substantial completion.
PRE-BID CONFERENCE. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Monday, September 28th at 11:00 AM at the Gannon Municipal Golf Course Clubhouse.
Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 §§26 to 27H inclusive. Purchasing Agent will prepare the notice of award and awarding of this contract.
