Purple Overflow Bags
Purple overflow bags are only used for overflow trash and must be placed on top of your trash bin. These bags are not meant to hold yard waste, recyclables, construction debris, or hazardous waste.
Purple overflow bags can be purchased at the following locations:

- 7-Eleven — 50 Western Avenue
- CVS Pharmacy — 509 Eastern Avenue
- Nina's Market — 51 Essex Street
- Stop & Shop — 35 Washington Street
Trash & Recycling Bin Repair/Replacement
The Department of Public Works (DPW) and Waste Management repair trash and recycling bins without cost. The services provided are lid repairs, wheels or axles replacements, and cart replacements.
