Overview	The Director of Elder Services seeks a capable, safety-minded driver to assist with transportation of Lynn residents sixty years of age plus to and from the soon to be established Lynn Senior Center. The Senior Center Driver will be a self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, have an excellent driving record, and solid interpersonal skills.
Duties and Qualifications	Ability to safely operate a fifteen-passenger van for the purpose of escorting Senior Center participants to and from the facility. Ability to follow a routing schedule and navigate roadways efficiently; Making safety checks of all operating equipment; reporting any van malfunctions to the supervisor for the purpose of repair. Occasional lifting and/or moving associated with loading and unloading wheelchair-bound passengers; Keeping accurate records of passengers conveyed; Report accidents or incidents, of any nature, relative to vans or passengers. High school diploma or equivalent preferred, along with 1-2 years of experience in transportation. Experience with 60+ population highly valued. Good social, interpersonal, listening, observation, and oral communication skills. Patient, flexible, and dependable attitude required. Valid Massachusetts Drivers’ License and excellent driving record, as verified through the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles Strong familiarity with City of Lynn streets. May, from time to time, be asked to assist Director and Senior Center staff with activities and projects.
