Description and Opportunity |
The City of Lynn seeks a Contact Tracer to assist the Department of Public Health in providing necessary information and assistance to Lynn residents as the City continues its efforts to mitigate further spread of COVID-19. The Contact Tracer will directly report to the Contact Tracing Supervisor and provide updates and information to the Director of Public Health and their designees as requested. |
Duties |
Place phone calls to newly diagnosed patients and potentially exposed people with COVID-19; Ask questions that help someone remember who they’ve been in close contact with; Educate contacts on approved protocol to reduce the risk of spread of COVID-19; Collect and document necessary information into MAVEN database; Understand symptoms, infectious periods and treatments; Protect patient privacy. |
Minimum Requirements |
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with a diverse community using courtesy, tact, and good judgment. Proficiency with computers and ability to learn and use state’s MAVEN database. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality. Working knowledge of Lynn and the community’s culture. Fluency in a language other than English (ex: Spanish, Khmer, Bengali, Arabic, Haitian Creole). CITY RESIDENCY REQUIRED WITHIN SIX MONTHS OF HIRE. |
Hours and Term of Service |
Flexible, including evenings and weekends. |
