Welcome to the Election Commission

The Election Office is responsible for all Voter Registration for the City of Lynn. This includes updating change of address, name, or political party affiliation. We also are responsible for all Nomination Papers (Local and State) as well as Certifying Petitions. The Commission also manages Preparation and Processing of Local, State, and Federal Elections.

The Election Commission conducts the Annual City of Lynn Census. Other duties include processing of Proof of Residence (can only be obtained if you have answered the City Census.)

Signatures For Office: Councilor At Large or School Committee
Three hundred fifty (350) signatures
Not more than 100 of which shall be from any one Ward*
Signatures For Office: Ward Councilor

One hundred (100) signatures from the Ward*

*You should collect 20% over the amount needed, to cover for non-voters
   
NOMINATION PAPERS TO BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES ONLY, OR TO THEIR AGENTS APPOINTED IN WRITING.  (MGL C. 53, §17)
